Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Terms and Conditions.
These terms and conditions are between the Guests of the Wentworth Hotel and the Wentworth Hotel Ltd.
2. Room charges and tax.
The room charges agreed when making a reservation will apply to the booking. Meals are usually included in the rates, but not always. Drinks and extras are not included unless otherwise stated. All charges include VAT. All charges must be paid on departure unless other arrangements are in force. The further exception being cancellation charges if circumstances demand that they are payable. A current credit or debit card guarantee is a requirement at the time of making a reservation.
3.Cancellations.
Cancellations will not incur any charges when the cancellation is made at least 72 hours before 2.00pm on the day of intended arrival.
4. No shows.
In the event of a no show, the fact of which had not been communicated to the hotel in a written form including email, the cost of a full stay including VAT, may be charged to the credit/debit card on file, if the hotel, is unable to re-sell any part of the accommodation or meal originally booked.
5. Cancellation of Bookings made through Online Travel Agencies (OTA’s such as Booking.Com) or other Travel agencies.
Cancellations or modifications can only be made by the party who made the booking and NOT the hotel concerned. The hotel, in this case the Wentworth Hotel, cannot make the cancellation or any modification on behalf of the guest. Instructions explaining how to cancel can be found on the confirmation details received from the agency concerned.
6.Group Bookings.
Group bookings may be subject to separate T and C’s. Please contact the hotel for details.
7. Check-in times.
Rooms for arrivals are available from 3.00pm onwards. Guests can check-in at Reception before that time and the account activated so that the hotel facilities can be used and charged to the room account.
8. Check-out times.
Guests are asked to check out by 11.00am. Please ask at Reception if more time is required.
9. Late Check-out.
 See point 8.
10. Early departure.
Whether or not a charge will be applied depends on the circumstances and reason given for an early departure. All or part of the remaining charges may be applied.
11. Invoices.
A detailed invoice of all expenditure will be given to the guest on departure.
12. Under 18 years old.
It is usual that anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a person over the age of 18 whilst staying at the hotel
13. Pets. (usually, dogs but on occasions cats and caged birds).
The hotel welcomes well behaved dogs and other pets on the understanding that any damage caused by the pet during its stay will be paid for by the owner of that pet. We regret that it is not possible to take meals with your pet in either the Restaurant or the Lounges. On occasions it may be possible to do so in the Bar, but not in the evenings.
14. Guide dogs.
Guide dogs are permitted to eat with their owners in the Restaurant. Please notify the hotel in advance of your stay.
15. Smoking or Vaping
Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere on the hotel premises, including Darfield House, or on the Hotel Terrace or Gardens. If signs of smoking are detected in any bedroom a charge will be made and placed on your account.
16. Damage.
Any damage to rooms or the Hotel premises caused during the stay and items missing following your stay will be charged to your credit/debit cards on file.
17. Lost and found.
The hotel cannot be held liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen items. Any guest who leaves anything behind following their stay, has the responsibility for reporting it and enabling the item to be posted to them or collected from the hotel.
18.Wifi.
Our wireless network is provided without any warranties of any kind, either expressed of implied. We do not guarantee that access to our wireless network will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free at all times. We are not responsible for the security, integrity, completeness, or accuracy of any information that you transmit or receive while using our network. Our wireless network is provided to you free of charge and at our discretion. We reserve the right to block your access, suspend your access, or terminate your access if circumstances demand those actions.
19. Events which are beyond our control.
The Wentworth Hotel does not accept liability or pay compensation for any events which are beyond our control and may affect our service to our guests. Some examples of these events, but not all, would be natural disasters, adverse weather conditions and the consequences thereof, war and terrorism, strikes, riots civil disorder, government interference, and any other catastrophic events and such like.
20. Abusive behaviour.
Abusive behaviour towards any member of our staff will not be tolerated. If there is a problem which is of our making, we will make every effort to resolve it in an amicable fashion.
